The Klub Gymnastics… voted Best Children’s Gymnastics program in Los Angeles

Attire and appearance should reflect that of an appropriate athletic appearance. Adults should strive to maintain a clean and child-appropriate look that allows for safe movement, stretching, and all other manner of duties associated with class participation.

Whether or not an adult’s appearance is appropriate will ultimately be up to the decision of the Koach on duty and management. Generally, if an adult gives active thought to their appearance, they will easily fit within TKG’s adult class guidelines.

Adults should consider whether or not their clothing is appropriate to dance, tumble, stretch, and maintain safety in an environment with children present. When in doubt, check with your Koach or management. Some things to keep in mind:

1. Your attire should allow for your safety. Your attire should allow for a full range of athletic movement.

  • Overly baggy pants are not permitted, as they create a tripping hazard and can get caught on equipment.
  • Jeans may not be worn.

2. Your attire should be appropriate to wear around children.

  • Adults should be able to do athletic movement, including stretching and going upside down, while maintaining a tasteful appearance in a child – appropriate setting.
  • Adults should take the length of their shorts and the tightness of their pants into consideration.
  • Adults must refrain from wearing overly revealing clothing. Specifically, clothing shall not reveal visible details of genitals, reproductive organs or areola.

Footwear
Adults must be barefoot or with gymnastics/tumbling specific footwear.

Jewelry
Adults should refrain from wearing jewelry or accessories when participating for safety reasons.

  • Dangling or hoop earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are not permitted when actively participating.
  • Small stud earrings and small watches are allowed.
  • Wedding rings are only allowed if they permit for safe participation without any threat of scratching or injuring anyone. Wedding rings should not hinder a adults’ ability to participate to the same ability as if they were not wearing a ring.

Nails
An adult’s nails should be kept short for safety reasons.

  • Nails should be kept at a length that does not hinder an adult’s ability to participate to their fullest ability.

3. Hard Casts

  • Athletes with hard casts are not permitted to go onto the floor.
