Coimbra World Cup
Padilla and Kennedi Roberts (North Richland Hills, Texas/Southlake Gymnastics Academy) were golden in Coimbra, each winning double mini gold in their respective divisions. Padilla set a World record with a difficulty score of 13.9 in his gold medal winning pass to top the men’s podium with a 31.900 ahead of Independent athlete Mikhail Zaomin in second (30.000) and host-country Portugal’s Diogo Cabral third (29.600). Padilla also claimed the 2025 World Cup Series title in men’s double mini with his performance. Roberts won the women’s competition with a 27.300 ahead of Portugal’s Diana Gago in second (27.100) and Kristy Way of Great Britain in third (25.200).
Several U.S. athletes also had finals appearances and placed fourth, including Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) in women’s synchronized trampoline (47.230); Gracie Harder (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) and Simon Smith (Springville, Utah/Utah Valley Trampoline & Tumbling) in women’s (0) and men’s (29.200) double mini; and Kaden Brown (Herriman, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) in men’s tumbling (24.800).
Coimbra Gym Fest
American juniors collected 10 medals in the 15-16 division in Portugal, five of them for individual competition. Rafi Pikofsky-Christiansen (Silver Spring, Md./Dynamite Gymnastics Center) and Carter Garn (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) clinched gold medals for the U.S. delegation. Pikofsky-Christiansen topped the men’s double mini podium with a 27.100 and Garn did the same in men’s tumbling with a 25.100. Ingrid Campbell (Mountain Green, Utah./Northern Star Bounder) secured women’s tumbling silver with a 22.900, while Neila Johnson (Draper, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) and Luke Todd (Calhoun, Ga./Culprit Athletics) won women’s (23.500) and men’s (19.800) double mini bronze, respectively.
In team competition, the U.S. took gold with the individual men’s trampoline team (286.290) of Pikofsky-Christiansen, Zackrey Whaley (Decatur, Ala./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Joseph Borders (Austin, Texas/Tumble Tech) and the men’s double mini team (160.000) of Pikofsky-Christiansen, Todd, Sylus Harper (Farmington, Utah/Flipside Tumbling) and Dustin Padilla (Dayton, Nev./Centre Elite Gymnastics). Winning silver were the individual women’s team (75.630) of Bella Ursu (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) and Grace Danley (Millstone, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy), the women’s tumbling team (130.200) of Campbell, Johnson and Haleigh Smith (Dalton, Ga./Culprit Athletics), and the men’s tumbling team (129.100) of Garn, Todd and Andrew Neatrour (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Centre Elite Gymnastics).
